NAPMW Presents "Cyber Security and Internet Safety for Children"

NAPMW is offering 'Cyber Security and Internet Safety for Children' presented by Dan Asher on December 13, 2017.

 

Detective Dan Asher has been a member of the MOICAC Task Force (Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force) for nine months and assigend to the St. Charles County Police Department Cyber Crimes Unit.

 

Detective Asher will help us determine "Is your child safe from child exploitation and/or human trafficking"?  He will be discussing safety awareness for parents with children using technology, to protect them from predators.  Dan will provide us insite not only as a detective but as a parent on how to keep our kids safe during the holiday season as well as all year long.  

 

Detective Asher has been working with Law Enforcement in some capacity for over 22 years.  He has held various positions as a Patrol Officer serving University City, St. Louis County and Lincoln County Sherriff's Department.  He has 12 years experience as a Fraud Investigator with Western Union Financial Services, investigating money laundering cases, internal fraud cases, was the liason for DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), FBI, US Secret Service, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and assisted various state and local agencies in tracking financial transactions worldwide.

 

Detective Asher has also been a member of the Missouri Narcotics Officers Association since 2014 and has performed many undercover assignments for the Multi-County Narcotics and Violent Crime Enforcement Unit during his time as a narcotics detective.  Detective Asher's unit received The Narcotics Task Force of the Year Award in 2015 for the state of Missouri.

Special Federal Officer for the FBI's Child Exploitation Task Force

 

St. Charles County Cyber Crimes Unit

 

Detective Asher resides in Moscow Mills, Missouri with his wife Tina, and their three children, Lindsey, Mason and Haley.
